Abstract :
For digital communication system, the bit error probability (BEP) is often used to show the impact on the system from interference. A commonly used approximation is to treat the interference as additive white Gaussian Noise (AWGN). For pulse modulated interference and impulsive interference, this approximation gives severe underestimations of the BEP. For this issue, a correction factor is proposed in. This impulsiveness correction factor ICF has earlier been investigated for different combinations of pulsed signals. In this work, the ICF is investigated for Class A interference. It is shown that there is a strong correlation between the ICF and the used interference model parameters A and Gamma for the Class A interference model.
