    The authors studied the active mode-locking of a laser-diode-pumped Nd:glass laser and obtained results using both frequency modulation and amplitude modulation mode-locking techniques. Similar experiments were also attempted on an alternative Nd laser, the Nd:LNA (LaMgAl11O19) laser
