Progress in railway mechanical engineering 1997 1998 survey-locomotives

This survey reports on motive power developments for the year ending August 1998. Invitations to participate were sent to a number of locomotive builders throughout the world. Although the response was limited, railway industry trade journals and other rail magazines provided additional input.
