Abstract :
This paper presents how to couple different domains in mechatronic complex system by using multiphysics compatibility equations, in order to facilitate preliminary mechatronic design. The generation of geometrical compatibility equations is based on Cayley-Menger determinants. These obtained equations can be used to ensure the consistency of over-constrained mecha-tronic system and make a valuable contribution to enhance the robustness of designed system. The method presented has been applied to a piezoelectric truss.
