Abstract
The authors describe IPSA an (interactive power system analysis), which has a multi-area AC and AC/DC system analysis capability, with models for both rotary and static converter equipment. IPSA uses a graphical procedure for entering the network diagrams of systems to be studied and extensive graphical facilities for displays of the results. Menu driven options give data entry, edit and display control of the automatically generated data tables, in a coordinated data structure, with special database facilities. The network storage and retrieval provisions, as well as the linked loadflow, fault level and transient stability analysis facilities are also menu driven. All sections are supported by extensive on-line HELP information
