Abstract :
A design of dualband V-shaped dipole antenna operating at 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz with electrical downtilt angle of 20deg has been proposed. A series-fed four-element printed array at 2.4 GHz and a parallel-fed six-element printed array at 5.8 GHz are designed respectively. A microstrip multiplexer comprised of a low pass filter and a high pass filter is also presented, which joins the two arrays to offer dual band characteristics. Tested results show that the overall performance of the antenna is satisfied. And the structure of antenna suites to be applied in WLAN system based on IEEE 802.11a/b/g standard.
