  • Abstract
Rolls-Royce is developing vibration diagnostic techniques to identify corrective action for engines rejected during acceptance tests and in flight. The detailed analysis techniques have shown potential production cost savings if applied to engines during their developmental stage to build a database. This paper describes the philosophy and early development of a PC based system, the Diagnostic Engine Vibration System (DEVS)
