Abstract :
This paper investigates collaborations in computer science based on the Association for Computing and Machinery (ACM) Digital Library dataset under the perspective of geographical distances between authors. We demonstrate that since the year 2003 (approximately) we have seen an increase in collaborative works but despite the availability of collaboration tools and social media, the collaborations are mostly between researchers who are a short geographical distance from each other.
