Abstract :
This paper deals with a comparative stability study applied to Modified Nodal Analysis (MNA) sparse matrices. MNA method is most suited for solving Partial Equivalent Element Circuit (PEEC) models. PEEC is a full wave technique based on Electric Field Integral Equation (EFIE) conversion to partial circuit elements. The study is performed in frequency domain using Wielandt-Kantorovitch (W-K) inequality. The response of the linear system to a small perturbation is investigated in terms of condition number. An example of underground cables that follow the path of a buried pipeline has been proposed. The results have been verified in Ansoft Maxwell Eddy Current solver.
