Power plant domain representation for operator intelligent training systems

The authors present the domain representation for an intelligent training system for the operation of thermal power plants, particularized to the Iberdrola owned Santurce thermal plant. The application, named SANTURCEDEM, is developed within the European Community ESPRIT ITSIE project, and its architecture consist of three main sections: the Domain, the Tutor and the User Interface. The description is focussed on the Domain section, where the general approach, techniques and advanced tools are presented with detail. Illustrative examples from the interface are also provided
