Abstract
The development of controlled nuclear fission as a power source for electric generating stations has evolved into a major industry and created the need for many unique pieces of equipment. Among these are containment electrical penetrations which perform the dual function of carrying electric conductors through the containment structure surrounding the reactor, while simultaneously maintaining the pressure boundary integrity of the structure. Here, the authors describe the electric penetrations at the Sizewell B nuclear power plant
