Abstract :
In this paper, the design and fabrication procedure for millimeter wave printed antennas have been proposed. The procedure is based on the custom manufacture of PCB boards realized using BCB substrates and physical vapor deposition for the copper layers. The fabrication process has been validated for both single and multiple layer printed antennas showing in both cases an accuracy level suitable for the production of millimeter wave printed antennas. In the following are reported the main equipments used to realize the proposed prototypes: 1) 10000 rpm spin coater, 2) 260degC controlled atmosphere convection oven, 3) 2500degC at 10-6 mbar evaporator system, 4) 2 mum resolution ultraviolet laser writer.
