Abstract :
In this paper, we present a new design of dual-band planar monopole antenna with a symmetric shorted quarter-wavelength resonator. The antenna consists of two elements in order to achieve dual-band operation: one is a stacked T-shaped monopole for the higher band operation, and the other is the grounded parasitic resonator for lower band operation. The antenna is featured by its compact size, simple structure, and low cost to fabricate.
