Abstract :
Neutral atoms strongly coupled to a high finesse optical resonator are a model system for studying coherent light-matter interaction at a fundamental level. Their intriguing properties allow the observation of spin dynamics at a high information rate, and many proposals to engineer correlated, e.g. entangled, quantum states are based on these special characteristic.
