Abstract :
The increasing number of skin-related diseases for the past decades has increased the awareness in our society about the factors that might contribute to it. In this paper, the effects of daily physical exposure, lifestyle and type of food consumed on human skin are discussed. One hundred UiTM staffs were chosen based on their different characteristics to undergo a skin test and answer questionnaires. The skin tests were performed by using Skin-Visiometer SV600 equipment. From the skin tests, the characteristics of the skin of these subjects were determined and the aforementioned factors were investigated by analyzing the information given during questionnaire session to see their effects to the healthiness of the subjects´ skin. The results show that most of our daily activities play a significant role in influencing the characteristics of our skin.
