Abstract
Presents a study of the mean-squared error (MSE) performance of two Kalman based equalisers in a HF communications environment. The equaliser structures are formulated using the QR orthogonalisation procedure to improve the numerical stability of the equalisers. Simulations of the performance of the equalisers under fading conditions and in the presence of adjacent channel interference (ACI) are presented
