Abstract :
A simple and effective strategy for spreading messages is necessary for a direct and fast reaction to changing situations in traffic in a system of communication between cars. A routing strategy which solves this problem by using global coordinates in a self-supporting modular navigational system for automobiles is introduced. A microprocessor with a mass data storage medium such as a CD-ROM disk and an output device such as an LCD-screen together with a loudspeaker for speech would be the basis of this system. The routing strategy requires the global position of a car on a world road network, stored as a map in the CD-ROM disk
