Abstract :
We demonstrated radar positioning with the help of ultra-wideband arrays, based on a ldquodirect positioningrdquo approach. The method has been extended to the mitigation of the effects of mutual coupling, in terms of patterns diversity, by combining correlation functions obtained with different triplets of elements. Consistent solutions are obtained for the two approaches, which combine consecutive or non-consecutive elements.
