Abstract :
External cavity lasers (ECL) with high resolution echelle diffraction gratings have been implemented. More than 50 nm tuning range, less than 30 kHz linewidth and more than 40 dB sidemode suppression ratio have been obtained. The devices have proven to be stable and have been operated reliable over several weeks
