  • Abstract
    A vertically aligned (VA) guest-host (GH) LCD with amorphous LC alignment structure has been studied for applying the display mode to a reflective LCD. The EO characteristics of the display mode shows almost the same performance as those of a conventional reflective VA-GH-LCD. These results clearly demonstrate that an amorphous structure is very useful for fabricating reflective LCDs
