Abstract :
In this paper, a technique to evaluate the statistical distribution of incident waves on a GPS antenna is proposed. The proposed model makes use of the well developed parameters of MEG and AoA along with the new parameter of the coverage efficiency. The proposed technique employs a uniform distribution of the incident waves both in azimuth and in elevation in a semi-spherical environment, taking into account the ground reflections and RHCP effect by modifying the XPR. The model is first of its kind to analyze the performance of a GPS antenna working in a multipath environment.
