Abstract :
Microstrip loaded inset dielectric guide (IDG) has shown a useful application in the design of strip-loaded IDG antennas. In the present contribution, dispersion characteristics of this guide are presented together with calculations of characteristic impedance. The effect of lowering the dielectric filling as a means of controlling monomode bandwidth and characteristic impedance is investigated
