Abstract
A project manager must be able to tell his superiors what is likely to occur in the future in the area for which he is responsible and to quantify the probability of that occurrence. He must also be able to control the system for which he is responsible so as to eliminate unnecessary shortfalls and maximise the return in whatever way is appropriate. The author concludes that a deterministic planning system can be used for project control
