Abstract
Visualization techniques are of increasing importance in exploring and analyzing large amounts of multidimensional data. A new visualization technique for the computation of 2-D DFT in terms of 2 times 2 Data and its analysis is presented. Since the visual representation gives direct relationship between time domain data and the frequency domain representation in terms of pictures, signal analysis can be made simple through the present representation scheme. Visual representation shows specific pattern depending on the appearance, existence and size of the data matrix. Various types of redundancy present in the visual representation are explored. The analysis proposed in this work enables to derive simple and efficient schemes for DFT computation.
