Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a novel wire type antenna for GSM/DCS/PCS/UMTS operation. The antenna is constructed by a folded wire with a short-pin section. Meander lines are applied not only for the miniaturization purpose of the antenna but also for the arrangement of the operation frequency. The short-pin section is enlarged by meandering means which broadens the operation bandwidth of the antenna. The antenna has a planar structure and can be fabricated by a metal wire, plate or thin film.
