Abstract
This article presents a novel topology for DC-DC full-bridge isolated unidirectional converter, with an high frequency transformer. This topology includes a voltage elevator circuit at the input source. The switching technique allows, varying the switching frequency, to obtain soft switching on all the range of load This converter is suitable to connect power generators, like fuel cells or solar panels, to hybrid system. Efficiency and cost are improved due to the voltage boost and switching technique. The converter design is justified and the switching technique of IGBTs is presented. To verify the control algorithm of converter, a laboratory prototype has been built using a Spectrum Digital eZdspTM TMS320F2812 card.
