Abstract :
In this work the practical verification of the UWB-monopulse radar is presented. Based on measurements of the antenna impulse response the look-up table is created. For radar measurements three targets are placed in vertical plane, at different angles and distances in respect to the antenna. The signals received in sum and difference beam are processed and compared with the look-up table. The presented system maintains a high range resolution delivered by UWB-technology and precise estimation of angular direction of the target. The sensing is performed with simple data processing, where no additional mechanical or electrical scanning of the antenna beam is required.
