Abstract
We propose a minimal model to study multi-agent tracking within the modeling field theory (MFT) framework. In particular, we show that a control unit based on MFT can guide successfully a set of M missiles towards N mobile targets even in the presence of a high level of noise corrupting the targets´ trajectory data. In the case there are more missiles than targets, the controller essentially discards the supernumerary projectiles, thus preventing the collision between missiles in a prospective pursuit
