Abstract :
This is design and development project paper of a low cost Air Sterilization System for developing countries. This proposal focuses mainly on Prefiltering, UV sterilization, negative ionization and ozonization. The Air Sterilization System works on the principle of positive air pressure system. When switched ON, it supplies pure and germ free air in and around the patient´s table area. This system provides 3 stages of purification and sterilization of air. The main area of use of this system is the Public Health Centers of rural areas in the developing countries where getting a healthy surrounding inside is a challenging task. Apart from using the system in the health centers it can be used in food processing units, dairy, bakery units, offices and even at homes to improve the quality of air that we breathe in. While designing the system utmost care has been taken to make it low cost and portable and user friendly keeping in view the economical condition of the people of the developing countries. It requires no technical expertise to operate and maintain. A working prototype of the Air Sterilization System was designed and tested.
