Abstract :
Design, fabrication and performance of a multi-octave five-bit MMIC phase shifter with compatible different control signals is described. 22.5° and 11.25° phase shift bits are a topology of a sharing Lange coupler. High performance (low peak phase error: ⩽6° for 180°, 90° and 45° phase shift bits, low VSWR: ⩽1.9, low insertion loss variations: ⩽15±0.8 dB over 5 to 20 GHz frequency range) and the small size (4.2 mm×3.2 mm×0.1 mm) are exhibited
