Abstract :
Based on a SDH equipment clock (SEC) model, the authors calculate the root mean square of the time interval error between the reference timing signal and SEC output signal. They investigate the SEC instability caused by the internal noises of some SEC components, and analyzes SEC instability based on different SEC bandwidths using theoretical calculation. Suggestions are made for SEC design
