Abstract :
Intelligent building networks can have either a centralized or a distributed architecture. Distributed networks are based on autonomous entities, can be integrated with other types of network elements, and generally are more robust than centralized networks. For better utilization of an intelligent building network, this kind of heterogeneous setup requires a unified IP-based management. We present an extended scheme of a distributed IP network management system by introducing an integrated site network management paradigm consisting of data elements, telecommunication equipment and intelligent building devices.
