Abstract :
An investigation of a new approach to combine dual mode and corrugated techniques together in the same corrugated pipe is described. This combination results in considerable reduction of aperture diameter with better cross polarization level over a wide band. The above feed is fabricated and experimental results reveal that the VSWR of the feed is of the order of 1.43 over the frequency range 12 GHz to 16 GHz giving cross polarization better than 39 dB when mounted with paraboloidal reflector and identical beam widths in both the principal planes.
