Abstract :
A modified semi-disc microstrip patch antenna with dual-frequency operation is addressed. Incorporating two symmetrical thin slots and a shorting-pin, this novel antenna achieves both compactness and dual-frequency operation with wide impedance bandwidth at each resonance. The design and characteristics of the antenna are presented and discussed. Comparison with a normal shorted semi-disc MPA without slots is also addressed
