Abstract :
System services from demand-side resources are seen as an important contribution to allow high penetrations of renewable generation in electrical power systems. Standardized communication is a prerequisite for active control of these resources. This paper proposes a way of modelling a broad range of demand-side resources within the framework of IEC 61850. Special attention has been paid to make the model suitable for aggregation.
