Abstract :
Electromagnetic pollution is getting more and more severe nowadays. In this paper the characteristics and effects of electromagnetic radiation on organisms are discussed. Thermal effects and non-thermal effects of electromagnetic radiation on living things are also presented. Then a series of suggestions to diminish electromagnetic pollution are put forward. With the rapid development of electronic technology, electromagnetic pollution is getting more and more serious with each passing day. So it has been paid attention by many countries and has entered the list of public hazards, which need to be eliminated in accordance with the United Nations Human Environment Conference. In particular microwave radiation is the main cause of electromagnetic pollution which not only disturbs the ecological balance but also threatens human beings. Therefore, the study of the elimination of electromagnetic pollution has wide significance
