  • Abstract
Mathematical model of a hydraulic arresting gear system on aircraft carrier is constructed. The constant runout control valve device which is the most important part of arresting gear system is studied. In the following, a simulation model based on the mathematical model is set up, and simulation experiments are carried out. It is turned out that: the hydraulic arresting gear system can recover a landing aircraft in the constant distance of 67 m on the flight deck, provided its weight is in the range of 50, 000 pound and its engaging velocity is within the limit of 110 knots.
