Abstract :
The main stream film production for theatrical release and TV commercials concentrates on four perforation 35 mm and TV productions use both this format and 16 mm, with Super 16 mm recently entering the field of play. The size of images and their attendant resolutions, film density range and density discrimination, and the benefits of originating on film for both todays and future TV production are examined
