Abstract
Based on the analysis of the range migration characteristic of bistatic forward-looking SAR, a geometry-based Doppler ambiguity resolver is proposed in this paper. This method estimates the Doppler centroid first using edge detection and least square fitting techniques. Combined with the baseband Doppler centroid estimation method, it can more rapidly resolve the Doppler ambiguity number. Besides, it does not need the prior information of the radar platform velocity and angle. Simulation results verified the effectiveness of this method.
