Abstract :
In this study, broadband chaos generation by semiconductor lasers subject to bright and dark optical comb (BOC and DOC) injections are investigated numerically. The rate equation model adopted is similar to the one used in describing a conventional optically injected laser in a master-slave configuration. Repetitive Gaussian and inversed-Gaussian pulses forming the bright and dark optical combs are used to injected into the slave laser with a repetition frequency of 2 GHz and a pulsewidth of 50 ps.
