Abstract :
The authors describe, the successful fabrication of K+ and Na+-exchanged patterned waveguides and their application to wash-free immunoassays using evanescent excitation of fluorescence. Experimental results show that the specific binding of a fluorescently labelled antibody to its appropriate antigen could be resolved at the concentration level of 1 μg/ml
