  • Abstract
The author looks at a new computer support system, the Work Management System (WMS). The prime role of WMS is to automatically collect work from various sources, allocate that work to the required individual(s) and then despatch the work at the appropriate time such that: the right person with the right skill, information and stores will be available at the right place and time in a cost effective manner. The initial scope covers the repair and installation of basic telephone equipment for both residential and business customers, including payphones, and the internal activities related to maintaining network equipment
