Abstract
In this paper, Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is applied in students´ overall quality assessment. First, it offers some indicators that are generally used in students´ assessment, Second, transform these indicators to a set of principle components by linear transformation, At last, select several important principle components for students´ assessment. We randomly select 20 students from Agricultural University of Hebei to analysis, and compare the result with that of traditional assessment method. The result shows that the PCA method is more scientific and objective than traditional method in quality assessment of college students.
