Abstract :
In order to get environmental information from the coastal area of Maranhão State, Geographical coordinates Latitude S 02°25\´23" Longitude W 44°06\´12", the objective of this paper is to map land cover at test-site town Raposa, using WorldView-2 satellite images, the OBIA paradigm (InterIMAGE software package) and data mining techniques. A thematic map of urban land cover from Raposa city (Maranhão State, Brazil) is presented.
