Abstract :
The enhanced and suppressed optical transmission through aluminum metal with periodic micro-cells (with 3 × 3 [unk] 6 × 6 [unk] 9 × 9 [unk] 12 × 12 and 16 × 16 hexagonal holes array) arranged in a random structures were investigated. The random structure allows multi-peak transmission by adding micro-cells with different lattice constants. Since the periodic structure has only one peak transmission wavelength, the random structure provides multi-color light transmission properties which can be applied to wavelength selective infrared device.
