Abstract
A new determination of the Boltzmann constant (kB) is conducted using a spectroscopic measurement, through the collaboration of various metrological institutes within a European research programme. This study complements previous works by utilizing several molecular species and by determining the accurate gas temperature and linewidth. Moreover, a recursive least squares analysis of very large datasets is done in order to achieve a reliable combined uncertainty of kB, which takes into account the full covariance matrix of all relevant quantities.
