Abstract :
The Mobile Internet has become a first-class citizen of the Internet in many advanced countries. It is also increasing its broadband capabilities with the penetration of 3G. As increased penetration and bandwidth leverage mobile application business opportunities, it is important to identify methodologies for serving mobile-specific demands. Regularity is one of the important means of retaining and enclosing easy-come, easy-go mobile users. Users with multiple visits in one day and over a long interval are known to have a higher possibility of revisiting in the following month than other users. The author expands this empirical law to weekly behaviors in the mobile broadband services. Weekly analysis allows for relaxation of processing timing in commercial services. The results show that the method proposed for text-based mobile services is also applicable mobile video services in the mobile broadband context.
