Abstract
During recent years, in connection with the development of the newest diagnostic and physiotherapeutic methods, interest in research of the electrophysical characteristics, such as electrical conductivity and permittivity has increased sharply. It is known that the biotissues consist of cells surrounded by cellular membranes. The membranes of cells are in a structural sense “solid” and have low electrical conductivity, while the material located inside cells and surrounding cell is in a dissolved condition and has high conductivity. A membrane has surface capacitance within the limits of 0.1-3 microfarad/cm2 and surface resistance up to 10000 ohm/cm2. Intercellular and intracellular media have a resistivity of about 100-300 ohm/cm and a permittivity of 80. Biological membranes and, hence, all organism have capacitive properties. In this connection, the research of the electrophysical characteristics by a “capacitive converter” is of interest
