Abstract :
Recent trends in digital signal design aim at automating the process from designer goals down to circuit layout. The authors´ work uses flow-charts, a well established language of the engineer, in order to communicate the wanted behaviou r to the computer system charged with the circuit synthesis and simulation. Translation to a format compatible with the industry standard CAD package HILO-3 is accomplished by an innovative circuit solution, related to Petri nets
