Abstract :
A tuning method for current mirrors has been proposed and tested in a 2-μm CMOS process. The method compensates for mismatches in both the transconductance and threshold voltage of the transistors. Results show that with a transconductance tuning resolution of 0.78% and a threshold voltage tuning resolution of 0.088%, the mirrors can be tuned to an average accuracy of 0.25% even though the untuned circuits have current gain errors as high as 6.59%
